A fully lined shoulder bag with zip closure and gold coloured chain.
This is a handmade, unique piece made from fabric given to me which wasn’t suitable for dressmaking. (I make my own clothes and my goal is a 100% handmade wardrobe. I’m currently about 60% there! As a result I have lots of fabric scraps leftover and pieces of fabric which are kindly given to me but perhaps not suitable for dressmaking. Instead of waste them I use them to make bags, clutches and wallets.)
The bag is gold in colour with a beautiful floral design and quilted on the sewing machine with a foam interfacing giving it a sturdy but flexible structure. It’s fully lined in a co-ordinating deep red pleated satin which I had left over from making a skirt. It is also interfaced with a green denim (not visible) which was leftover from making a jumpsuit for a friend.
It measures approximately 10 inches wide at the base by 7 inches high by 2.5 inches deep.

The bag is made using the Beijing Bag pattern from www.pinkponydesign.com
